This was passed on by Chief Joe Chasing Horse, a relative of the great Lakota warrior Crazy Horse. He translated it from the words of a grandmother who was present when the words were spoken.

This is a statement of Crazy Horse as he sat smoking the Sacred Pipe at Paha Sapa with Sitting Bull for the last time, 4 days before he was assassinated.

Many of these words are often repeated, but there is one line often left out, that of the “young white ones.”

I post this in honor of my Native American elders, including Grandfather Wallace Black Elk, Bear Heart and Sun Bear, who had the courage to fulfill this prophecy by passing on such beautiful Native teachings to the “young white ones” who came to them for help.
”Upon suffering beyond suffering; the Red Nation shall rise again and it shall be a blessing for a sick world.

A world filled with broken promises, selfishness and separations.

A world longing for light again.

I see a time of seven generations when all the colors of mankind will gather under the sacred Tree of Life and the whole Earth will become one circle again.

In that day there will be those among the Lakota who will carry knowledge and understanding of unity among all living things, and the young white ones will come to those of my people and ask for this wisdom.

I salute the light within your eyes where the whole universe dwells.

For when you are at that center within you and I am in that place within me, we shall be as one.”
4. Yes, we are smack in the center of a sick world! Hope for unity can be achieved if we all go out and vote. A very small step we can take but something is better than nothing!!!

 7. This is a wonderful testimony and a verification of the prophecies given to the RLDS Church in the very beginning. We were taught what we should do and how to accomplish it. The Indians are to more than assist in building a Zionic community for all the world to see, and eventually be a part of. It is sad that we have failed to move forward more rapidly because of the lack of faith to accomplish it by many. If we had taken the true gospel to the Indians as directed, Zion could already be a reality.

 8. Thanks for sharing these ancient words of wisdom. It has been a struggle to learn the true history of what really occurred between the US government and the indigenous peoples. The truth is horrific, so it’s no wonder that it’s not taught in our schools.

 9. The one who the great spirit walked.in will return and rule over the world one thousand yrs will be a time of justice and righteousness and peace
